Hawaii Education Association In-Service Public School Educators Scholarship, with an application deadline in April, offers 2 awards of $2000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.Description
The Hawaii Education Association In-Service Public School Educators Scholarship will be awarded to support study or training for tenured Certificated Staff and/or permanent EAs who are Hawaii State Department of Education (Hawaii DOE) educators in good standing. The scholarship is intended to assist in-state public school pre-K-12 teachers, school administrators, and educational assistants who plan to continue their post-graduate education. Preference is given to candidates who are completing a state-approved program leading to teacher licensing, school administrator certification, or Hawaii DOE ParaPro minimum qualifications. Applicants must either have a Baccalaureate degree or enrolled in an Associate in Arts in Teaching or Certification of Competence teaching program. A letter of reference from a person who is familiar with the applicant's professional work and goals is required. The letter should be relevant to the applicant's plan of study and goals for professional learning. Applications may be submitted through online, mail, or email.
