Description

The Janey Schmidt Lawrence Memorial Scholarship provides a one-time award of $1,000 to a graduating female senior from Fredericksburg High School who plans to pursue a degree in education or medicine. Established in Janey's memory, the scholarship recognizes applicants who demonstrate personal achievement, active involvement in extracurriculars and community service, and financial need. Recipients must be accepted for full-time enrollment at an accredited college, university, or trade school before the award is finalized; awards not accepted by December 31st of the award year will be forfeited.
