Jay Lamando Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers 2 awards of $500 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

Established by family and friends to honor his personal challenges against diabetes, the Jay Lamando Scholarship recognizes the impact others can have on an individual's life celebrating character, discipline, family and teamwork. The scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors from John Jay and Roy C. Ketcham High Schools who play on an athletic team or are active in after school club(s)/activities and plan to attend an accredited college. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a coach and/or teacher involved with the after school club/activity.
