Description

The John Lenard Civil Engineering Scholarship supports up to two undergraduate students annually who are pursuing a civil engineering degree with a demonstrated commitment to water supply or environmental engineering. Applicants must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited or equivalent program and be ASCE Student Members in good standing at the time of application and award. Previous recipients may reapply if eligibility requirements are still met. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition and academic fees. Applications are due online by January 15 and must include a signed contact form, personal essay, budget statement, transcript, two recommendation letters (including one from faculty), and a resume outlining honors, activities, ASCE involvement, and work experience. Award amounts are determined annually by the ASCE Board of Direction and disbursed directly to the recipient's institution.
