Description

The Jonathan Ed Hara Scholarship Fund was created in 2020 to honor Jonathan Hara, a fire emergency medical specialist stationed at the South Kohala Fire Station, and supports students who graduated from a Hawaii Island public high school seeking an associate's or bachelor's degree, preferably in Fire Science or Mobile Intensive Care Technician. The donor requires applicants to be a graduate of a Hawaii Island high school or a Hawaii Island resident who obtained a homeschool high school diploma. Preference will be given to recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.
