K.C. Kinch Scholarship, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards of $5000 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The K.C. Kinch Scholarship will be awarded to East Palo Alto residents who show academic success and demonstrated financial hardship. This program was established in 2017 in memory of Kathleen Carol Kinch, through Ms. Kinch's will. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to cover college educational expenses of students from East Palo Alto, CA. Applicants must be current graduating seniors residing in East Palo Alto or high school graduates who resided in East Palo Alto during high school. They must be planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university, or technical school. Applicants must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0-3.75 on a 4.0 scale. They must have a demonstrated community involvement over a period of several years.
