Description

The Kalihi Education Coalition Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 by the Kalihi Education Coalition to benefit graduating high school seniors from Damien School, Farrington High School, Kamehameha - Kapalama School or current college students attending Honolulu Community College. The HCF will give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year. The donor requires applicants to demonstrate one of the following criteria: (1) Be a graduating high school senior attending a school in the Kalihi-Palama district (i.e. Farrington HS, Damien School or Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama). (2) Be a college student attending Honolulu Community College. (3) Be a Kalihi-Palama resident (with one of the following zip codes: 96817 or 96819). (4) Demonstrate academic achievement with at least the required minimum GPA. (5) Attend an accredited, two- or four-year college or university. (6) Be an undergraduate or graduate student. (7) Be a full-time student. (8) Demonstrate good moral character. (9) Participation in community service projects or activities.
