Kaye Munson Scholarship for First Year Students offers 140 awards of $1000 each.

Description

The Kaye-Munson Scholarship is for high school students who will be graduating in 2026 and entering college in Fall 2026. Students may receive the Kaye-Munson Scholarship if they participate in the Presidential Scholars Competition, which is designed for students to compete for a limited number of "full-ride" scholarships. Students may participate in the scholarship competition if they have applied and been admitted as a degree-seeking student to NMU for Fall 2026 by the date of the competition for which they will be participating. To apply for the scholarship competition, students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.50. If a student is in an early college credit program, they are eligible to compete if they are in their final year of high school, have a high school GPA of 3.5, and will be entering college as a degree-seeking student the following year. There will be multiple in-person competition dates. For the November 2-3, 2025, competition, the registration deadline is October 20. For the November 9-10, 2025 competition, the registration deadline is October 27. For the virtual competition on November 16-17, 2025, the registration deadline is November 3.
