Kids' Chance of Oregon Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Kids' Chance of Oregon Scholarship will be awarded to children of an Oregon worker who has incurred permanent total disability (PTD) or died as a result of work related injuries or occupational diseases. Students may attend any public or private, nonprofit or for-profit, Title IV, postsecondary school in the United States for undergraduate or graduate study. Financial need may or may not be considered, but filing of FAFSA is still required. Students may apply-compete annually as this scholarship may be received for a maximum of 7 years. Applicants must provide the following information regarding the accepted Oregon Workers' Compensation claim: (1) Name of injured or deceased parent or guardian. (2) Date of injury. (3) Oregon Workers' Compensation Claim Number. February 15 is the Early Bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
