Kohala Ditch Educational Fund, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Kohala Ditch Educational Fund was established in 1999 by the Kamuela Kayak Corporation to support graduates of Kohala High School. The Hawai'i Community Foundation will give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. Preference will also be given to students of Hawaiian ancestry; students who have attended Kohala High School; students attending the University of Hawaii - Hilo or Hawaii Community College; and/or students pursuing studies related to the fields of Hawaiian Studies, Oceanography, Agriculture or Botany.
