Leslie C. and Irene G. Roe Athletic Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $1500 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Leslie C. and Irene G. Roe Athletic Scholarship award was created to provide a multi-year award for Dutchess County students who have demonstrated outstanding athletic skills, and will attend a New York State Community College or public College/University (CUNY, SUNY). The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years. Applicants must be a high school senior at any high school in Dutchess County, planning to attend a New York State Community College or public college/university (CUNY, SUNY). Applicants must have demonstrated outstanding athletic skills. Applicants must submit two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselors, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities. One letter must be from a coach. These letters must have been written within the last six months. In order to continue receiving this scholarship in subsequent years, students must provide the Foundation with a copy of their college transcript from a NYS community college or state college/university and a copy of their fall tuition bill.
