Life-Long Learning, with an application deadline in December, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The Life-Long Learning Grant is offered through the Luso-American Education Foundation to support adult college students pursuing continued education. Applicants must be official residents of the United States and either of Portuguese or Lusophone ancestry or able to demonstrate formal study in Portuguese language or culture. Eligible individuals may be attending a college or university, enrolled in a graduate or credential program, working as educators in Portuguese language or culture, or preparing for a career where Portuguese language skills are applicable. The grant amount varies, and applicants may apply for up to three academic years, though only one grant will be awarded. Priority is given to those preparing for professional careers involving the use of Portuguese.
