Nancy Camp Scholarship (by the Elisha Leavenworth Foundation), with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards of $5000 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Nancy Camp Scholarship (by the Elisha Leavenworth Foundation) is for high school graduates that have maintained an academic average of "B" or better and reside in Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown or Wolcott. First-time applicants must have a FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) below $40,000. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, clergy member, guidance counselor, or other community member who they think can best speak to their character, achievements, and potential. Recommendations from relatives or friends are not admissible. There is a different application link for students applying for the first-time and students applying to renew their scholarship. Scholarship renewal applications are due by January 15, 2026. First-time applications are due by February 17, 2026.
