National Foster Parent Association Youth Scholarship, with an application deadline in April, offers numerous awards of $500 each.

Description

The National Foster Parent Association will provide annual competitive scholarships, which will be awarded in five categories. All applicant's parents, or another supportive adult, must be a member of the NFPA. Scholarships are awarded to high school senior students who are graduating or getting their GED. A minimum of two letters of recommendation from foster parents, social workers, residential center, principal, teacher, guidance counselor, or employer are required. When the scholarship is awarded, students must provide a copy of college acceptance and proof of enrollment. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
