Description

The New Jersey HESAA Survivor Tuition Benefits Scholarship supports eligible children and surviving spouses of New Jersey firefighters, emergency service workers, and law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The award provides students with free tuition at any eligible public or private institution of higher education in New Jersey. The students must earn a bachelor's degree. Applicants must be citizens, eligible non-citizens, or eligible to file the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application. Eligibility to apply is limited to eight years from the date of the child's high school graduation, with no time limit to apply for surviving spouses. The Fall 2025 deadline is October 1, 2024, and the Spring 2026 deadline is March 1, 2026.
