NTSS Toshio Narahashi Postdoctoral Scholar/Associate Poster Competition Award, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The NTSS Toshio Narahashi Postdoctoral Scholar/Associate Poster Competition Award will be awarded based on poster and oral presentations at SOT. The scholar/associate must be a postdoctoral member of SOT and NTSS (or show evidence of application) and meet the SOT criteria for classification as a postdoctoral scholar/associate at the time of the Annual Meeting. Postdoctoral Scholars/Associates giving platform presentations at the Annual Meeting are also eligible if they prepare a poster summarizing their talk. Advisors or mentors who are not members are strongly encouraged to join NTSS. Applicants must submit an extended abstract and a letter of support from the postdoctoral scholar/associate's advisor outlining the postdoc's independence and role in the research. The extended abstract should consist of the abstract originally submitted to SOT, description of the impact of the research, key figures or data, and conclusion. At least 3 judges will evaluate each poster. All posters should be completed in line with SOT poster guidelines. Please visit the award's website or contact the Society of Toxicology for more information.
