People of Praise Scholarship, with an application deadline in April, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The People of Praise Scholarship is available to elementary, middle, and high school students, and high school graduates and college students who are members of People of Praise (Vancouver, WA; or Portland, OR branch); or a dependent child of a member. Applicants must be currently attending or planning to attend either a Christian elementary school, a Christian high school, or an accredited college, university, technical or career school during the upcoming school year. For K-5th grade students/parent applicants, there is no further additional activity or essay information required. For 6th-8th grade students/parent applicants, applicants must compose their own essays. For 9th-12th grade student applicants, they must answer the activity and essay prompts within the application. Letters of reference are only required for first-time applicants who have not yet attended college. Renewal applicants already in college do not need to submit letters. Applicants must submit two letters of reference, one from school personnel and one personal reference.
