The Pilot International Scholarship was established in 1988 to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students preparing for a career working with youth and young adults in leadership and development, helping people and encouraging brain safety and health, or caring for families during times of need. Applicants may be graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students. Students must remain a full-time student for the duration of the scholarship. They must have career goals that further Pilot International's mission of (1) working with youth and young adults in leadership and development, (2) helping people and encouraging brain safety and health, or (3) caring for families during times of need. Applicants must submit a resume or CV. A list of extracurricular and/or community activities must be submitted, if the information is not on the resume or CV. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation dated within the last 12 months from teachers, professors, faculty advisors or employers. It is optional but applicants may also submit their prior high school and/or undergraduate transcripts, if applicable.
