Description

The Robert W. Knapp Award will be given to the top accounting student attending a Shelby County university. Scholarships are available to TSCPA student members who have completed introductory accounting courses and are planning to sit for the CPA Exam. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. Students transitioning from a two-year community college to a four-year university are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must have completed at least three semester hours (or equivalent) in accounting by the end of spring 2026. They must be majoring in accounting, finance or a related field and planning to obtain their CPA designation. Applicants must be attending college during the 2026-2027 school year. They must submit two completed letters of recommendation, one of which must be from an accounting, economics or finance professor from the university the applicant is attending.
