Description

The Rochelle Nicolette Perry Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to students who are E and ET majors. SWE membership is required. Applicants must be enrolled in a university or college in New York, or have their home located in Iowa. Students who demonstrate community involvement with planning and participating in events or other organizations are preferred. Students with a high level of dedication and passion for their own community, organizations, and engineering in general are also preferred. SWE scholarships support students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and fields related to engineering. Applicants must be studying at an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology or computing in the upcoming academic year. Students who attend an ABET-accredited community college program are also eligible to apply. The scholarship reviewers focus on extracurricular activities, work history, volunteerism, and interest and involvement in STEM. Applicants must submit one reference, either from someone who can speak to the applicant's academic work, such as a teacher, or someone who knows the applicant well and can speak to their character, such as a coach or supervisor.
