Description

The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute Technical Scholarship started in 2007 is a one-time gift to students in technical programs who hope to take their education into the mining industry, where there is a great demand for technical applications. Applicants must be enrolled in a two-year technical or trade school program, in good standing, at the time of selection. High school seniors are eligible to apply. Applicants must be studying an applicable trade; and must have an expressed interest in mining as a career path. Applications will be reviewed and rated by the Scholarship Committee. Interviews of top candidates may be conducted. Applicants must submit three references, which includes name, address, business and home phone number, company or business name, and years acquainted. Letters of reference or recommendation must be attached to the application. Applications may be submitted through either mail or email.
