Description

The Valerie E. Yahn Endowment Scholarship aims to provide an annual scholarship to a deserving high school graduating senior intending to pursue a nursing (BSN) degree at a college or university. Applicants must have attended a New Jersey high school and have been a New Jersey resident of one of the eligible five counties. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award. Preference will be given to applicants who have never been awarded the scholarship in the past. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, passion for nursing, and strength of character. Applicants must submit a cover letter addressed to the IFN Scholarship Committee. The letter should state purpose for submission and contain brief biographical (background) information. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation from the applicant's choice of high school teachers, administrators, counselors, employers, or individuals with significant knowledge of applicant's experience, character, and involvement.
