Eligibility

TMS Light Metals Division Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers one award in the amount of $3000.

Description

The TMS Light Metals Division Scholarship is available to undergraduate applicants in their sophomore or junior years, who are majoring in metallurgical and/or materials science and engineering with an emphasis on both traditional (aluminum, magnesium, beryllium, titanium, lithium and other reactive metals) and emerging (composites, laminates, etc.) light metals. The applicant must be a student member of Material Advantage. Applicants must be a current student enrolled at a qualified college or university. Relatives of members of the funding committee/division are not eligible. Submitted coursework must be relevant to the scholarship for which the student is applying. Applicants must submit three testimonials from educators, employees, and/or employers who are familiar with their background.
