TxDOT's Conditional Grant Program, with an application deadline in April, offers numerous awards of $8000 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Conditional Grant Program is available to eligible students pursuing a degree in engineering or a TxDOT-approved operational business discipline. The Conditional Grant Program will consider both Texas public and private four-year institutions. Due to COVID-19, emailed applications are now accepted. Mail-in applications are still accepted until April 1 if you choose not to send via email. Applicants may be a graduating high school student who has a minimum overall (cumulative) high school GPA of 2.50, has a minimum score of 900 on the SAT, or has a minimum score of 21 on the ACT. Applicants may also be a student enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum overall (cumulative) GPA of 2.50. Recipients must agree to work for the department for two years immediately following the date of their receipt of their baccalaureate degree.
