V. George & Jeannette M. Carey Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $1500 each.

Description

The V. George & Jeannette M. Carey Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors within the state of Delaware. Preference is given to those residing within former Representative Carey's 36th Legislative District, comprising areas of Ellendale, Lewes, Lincoln, Milford, Milton and Slaughter Beach. Applicants must be pursuing a degree or professional designation in an agriculture (preference) or education related field. Winners will be selected based on academic performance, preferably not those in the top 10 percent of class. Applicants with participation in 4-H, FFA and other community service activities are preferred.
