VWCC Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The VWCC Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship provides a year of tuition and books to a first-year, associate-degree seeking student. Students must agree to promote community college education and the Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship Program, mentor future scholars and demonstrate a commitment to developing leadership potential. Students must have graduated high school with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicants must provide the names and email addresses of three persons willing to provide recommendations for them. At least one recommendation must be a Virginia Western instructor, if the applicant is enrolled at the college. If recently attending or graduated from high school, applicants may use a high school teacher(s) to provide recommendations.
