Description

The Wally Beets-John Marino Scholarship will be awarded to any Salina area graduating high school senior or graduate who has been employed by or is the child of an employee at JRI Club Operations and/or the Salina Country Club. Applicants that are employees of JRI Club Operations must be currently employed or employed by JRI Club Operations within the last 24 months. Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher, or another adult for whom the applicant has studied or worked outside of JRI Club Operations. Applicants should also display strong characteristics in one or more areas including: leadership, community service, extra-curricular school activities or employment. All merit criteria being the same, applicants shall be selected based on financial need. All applicants shall be judged on the merit of the application with regard to the criteria outlined above, and no special preference shall be given to applicants because they may be members of JRI Club Operations and/or the Salina Country Club.
