Description

The Wally Beets-John Marino Scholarship will be awarded to students who must be an employee or child of an employee at JRI Club Operations and be eligible to attend or currently attending any accredited post-secondary school. Applicants that are employees of JRI Club Operations must be currently employed or employed by JRI Club Operations within the last 24 months. Any Salina Area high school senior or graduate are eligible to apply. Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher, or another adult for whom the applicant has studied or worked outside of JRI Club Operations. Applicants should also display strong characteristics in one or more areas including: leadership, community service, extra-curricular school activities or employment. All merit criteria being the same, applicants shall be selected based on financial need. All applicants shall be judged on the merit of the application with regard to the criteria outlined, and no special preference shall be given to applicants because they may be members of JRI Club Operations and/or the Salina Country Club.
