Description

The 37th DVA offers an annual scholarship grant program. The purpose of the program is to provide funds from investments that will be used to assist veterans and descendants of veterans of the 37th Infantry Division (37th ID) in obtaining post-high school and advanced education by providing scholarships. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, applicants must be a current member of the 37th DVA in good membership standing or be the direct lineal descendant (to the third generation) of such a member. Applicants must contact the 37th DVA to confirm eligibility. To do so, please send an email to the Executive Director, Mandy Oberyszyn. Applicants must submit a copy of their birth certificate and a copy of their parent's birth certificate that is directly related to the applicant's sponsor. Copy of the sponsoring 37th DVA veteran's DD Form 214, NGB 22 or equivalent, verifying service in the 37th Infantry Division or its heritage units is also required. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or employer. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
