AEG Foundation Marliave Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The AEG Foundation Marliave Fund was established to recognize outstanding scholarship and professional dedication by students in engineering geology or geological engineering. Applicants must be AEG student members. They must be presently enrolled in a college or university degree program in engineering geology or geological engineering. Nomination or sponsorship letter from a faculty member, an employer or geoscience professional with knowledge of the applicant's qualifications is required. The sponsor or nominator should be a member of AEG and it is encouraged to have this individual be a Student Chapter Advisor or AEG Section Officer. Applicants are also required to submit three letters of reference, in addition to the Nomination or Sponsorship Letter, from persons in the profession who can evaluate the applicant's qualifications to become a Marliave Scholar.
