Description

The Albert and Dorothy Shigekuni Scholarship fund was created in 2013. HCF requires applicants to be in good academic standing or maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.The donor requires applicants to be a resident of the State of Hawai'i; demonstrate financial need; have a minimum GPA of 3.1; be a full-time student; be an undergraduate student; and enroll at a University of Hawaii System school. Preference will be given to those who will pursue one semester or one year study abroad program through the University of Hawaii System and for students who have not traveled outside of Hawaii.
