County of Monterey Scholarship Program Fund, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $4000 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The County of Monterey Scholarship Program Fund will award up to $1,500 to students who will pursue community college and vocational education, and up to $4,000 to students who will attend a four-year university. Recipients are eligible to re-apply. Applicants must be an eligible dependent of a regular employee with at least one year of employment with Monterey County. Verification required. They must have demonstrated interest in completing a Bachelor's degree, Graduate degree or Vocational School certification. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation describing their positive qualities, including their interpersonal skills, work ethic, and good character.
