Dare to Dream Scholarship, with an application deadline in October, offers 3 awards of $4000 each.

Description

The Dare to Dream Scholarship will be awarded to an individual working toward an instrument or multi-engine rating, commercial or CFI certificate. Funds will be paid directly to the recipient's flight school and training must be completed within one year. The recipient will be chosen on a basis of merit, career aspirations and dedication, as well as contributions to her community. All applicants must be current WAI members with an expiration date of March 30, 2026 or later. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation. One letter of recommendation must be from a pilot who has flown with the applicant. Letters should not be from family members. FAA Class 1-3 Medicals will still be required and preferred, Basic Med will be considered. One or the other is required. Prerequisite is a Private Pilot Certificate.
