Description

The Dave Nelsen Student Certification Scholarship will be awarded to technical students seeking certifications for qualifying education. The course must prepare applicants to enter the field of HVAC, propane or oil. Applicants must present a detailed explanation of the class they wish to take and the benefits to them of the class, in their own words. The explanation must include a course description including the content and number of course hours. If the applicant will earn any certification, the applicant must indicate that in the explanation. If the applicant has it, they must send a copy of the course brochure. The explanation must also include the cost of the course. Applicants may apply up to two times within 12 months. Applicants must submit a letter of reference from an instructor, academic administrator or mentor. Applicants must apply for the scholarship a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three months before the start of the class. Please allow at least two weeks for a response.
