Description

The Dayle Wood Memorial Scholarship was established in 1988. Dayle Wood was an outstanding young man whose life was tragically cut short in 1962 when he was killed in a car accident. Dayle's aunt, LaVerne Bish of Lincoln, established this scholarship in his name to assist graduating seniors from Palmyra High School. Applicants must be a current graduating senior of Palmyra High School, Palmyra, Nebraska. They must demonstrate scholastic application and achievement and intend to continue his/her education. Financial need will be utilized only as a tie-breaker in scholarship selection. Funding will not be distributed until the start of the student's sophomore year.
