District 46 Olive Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund, with an application deadline in June, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist.Description
The District 46 Olive Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarded to students who have a 2.5 GPA for undergraduate study and a 3.2 GPA for graduate study. Nurses enrolled in doctoral programs are not restricted to nursing specialties. Applicants must have completed at least one semester in the current nursing program by the scholarship application deadline. Applicants must be enrolled in a nationally accredited nursing program, either through ACeN or CCNe accreditation. Applicants must have resided in Florida for at least one year and must reside in Florida throughout the term of the scholarship. Two letters of reference are required. It must be from individuals who can address the applicant's academic aptitude, scholarship, seriousness of purpose, and/or their clinical expertise. The transcript must be mailed directly from the applicant's school or in an envelope signed and sealed by a school official. It is not included in the online application. Applicants must submit a validation of their Florida residency. They must upload a copy of their current driver's license or voter registration card. If issued within the past year, applicants must provide other proof of residency. Contact FNA for additional acceptable proofs of residency.
