The Donald W. F. Ching Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in honor and by the family of Donald Ching, a long-time employee of Hawaiian Airlines. He started as a mechanic and retired as an FAA-certified Aircraft Inspector. The donor requires applicants to be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Applicants must be a degree-seeking student, majoring in Aviation, enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Preference will be given in the following order of priority: students who are renewal applicants; applicants who are first-generation in their family to attend college; and applicants who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Hawai'i Community Foundation for more information.
