Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders, with an application deadline in December, offers numerous awards of $1000 each. Ethnicity requirements apply. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship will be awarded to young Hispanic Leaders who seek to recognize Hispanic students who share Dr. Andrade's lifelong commitment to servant leadership. This scholarship will award $1,000 to students at a 4-year institution and $500 to students at a 2-year institution. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as undergraduate students in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories for the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 academic year. High school seniors may apply. At least one parent of the applicant must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or undocumented). Applicants must complete both background and leadership essays. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation that focus on the applicant's leadership abilities and past academic performance, while also indicating an ability or desire to effectively serve their community. One reference must be from an academic source and one reference must be from a professional or community service setting. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
