Description

The Minority Scholarship for MLS graduate students will be awarded to students attending either the Florida State University or the University of South Florida scholarship. The candidate must belong to one of the following racial or ethnic groups: Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern/North African, or American Indian/Alaska Native. Applicants must have a current active membership in the Florida Library Association and have some work or volunteer experience in a Florida library. Three letters of recommendation must be submitted. These may be from a present or past supervisor, colleague, professor, or another person who can speak to the applicant's professional abilities. Each letter must be signed by the recommender. Proof of enrollment, in the form of a letter of acceptance or current transcript, is also required. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
