Eligibility

Fulbright All Disciplines Scholar Award in Armenia, with an application deadline in September, offers 3 awards of $9130 each.

Description

The recipients of the Fulbright All Disciplines Scholar Award in Armenia will be given the opportunity to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. This is a requirement for all grantees regardless of proposed grant activity. The scholar may be asked to assist with student advising and curriculum development and collaborate in research projects. Applicants wishing to undertake Teaching/Research grants should dedicate at least 30 percent of their grant activity to teaching. Applicants may propose an appropriate host. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or the appropriate terminal degree and have at least five years of teaching experience at the university level or the professional equivalent. An invitation letter is preferred. The U.S. Embassy encourages applicants to reach out to their potential host institutions with their projects and to solicit invitation letters. If that is not possible, the U.S. Embassy will still consider the application and will find an appropriate placement. There is no language requirement, English is sufficient. However, feasibility of conducting the project must be demonstrated in the project statement. The application also requires two recommendations. Please visit the award's website or contact the Council for International Exchange of Scholars for more information.
