Description
The Hinds Community College ACT Dean's Scholarship is open to first-time freshmen students. College transfers are not eligible for the ACT Freshman Scholarship. Hinds uses either the ACT composite score or superscore to determine eligibility for the ACT Freshman Scholarship. An ACT superscore is the average of a student's highest sub-scores in each of the four subject areas from all of their ACT attempts. Students are encouraged to submit all official ACT scores to Hinds so a superscore can be calculated. The deadline to qualify for and receive the ACT Freshman Scholarship is the first day of classes of your first freshman semester (excluding summer terms). If all criteria and steps are complete by the deadline, the student will receive an award letter sent to their Hinds email address, as well as the email address used on the admission application. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
