Description

The Joseph and Elaine Malama Vierra Scholarship Fund was established by Joseph and Elaine Vierra in 2016 for students pursuing a degree in a field of study relating to conservation and/or environmental sciences. Applicants must attend an accredited four-year institution to major in a field of study related to conservation and/or environmental sciences including such fields as Conservation Biology, Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, Wildlife Biology, Marine Sciences, Applied Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Architecture, Environmental Design, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health Science, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, and/or Sustainable Agriculture. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.
