KAPE Professional Development Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers 3 awards of $500 each.

Description

The KAPE Professional Development Scholarship will be awarded to KAPE educators in order to offset the cost of ongoing professional development and/or continuing education. Scholarships may be applied to: graduate courses, registration fees to workshops, conferences or conference travel expenses and/or National Board Certification (first-time or recertification). Those applying for graduate courses must submit proof of enrollment in graduate level education course(s); name and course number of the course; letter of recommendation from a professor or administrator in their district; and an essay or letter. Those applying for Workshops and Conferences must submit a letter of recommendation from a professor or administrator in their district; an essay or letter; and proof of completion and receipts for out-of-pocket expenses, which must be submitted to KAPE within 30 days of the training before distribution of the scholarship funds will be awarded to the recipient. Those applying for National Board Certification or Recertification must submit a copy of their National Board Certification application; letter of recommendation from a professor or administrator in their district; and an essay or letter.
