Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association Scholarship, with an application deadline in April, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Military service requirements apply. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association Scholarship will be awarded to a male or female candidate chosen from members, spouses, sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, of current or deceased member, in good standing at time of death, of LA FRA or FRA. Applicants must be attending a college located in the United States, and not have received or will not be receiving scholarships, awards or grants that fully pay tuition for the 2 fall college semesters. Applicants must provide exactly two recommendations, one academic and one community. Academic recommendations may come from a teacher, professor, dean, academic mentor, faculty advisor, etc. Community recommendations may come from a pastor/priest/rabbi, overseer of volunteer work, beneficiary of community work the applicant may have done, scout master, employer, or someone within the applicant's community who can speak to their character and contributions outside of academia.
