Madeline Marie Molzahn Sherrod Memorial Scholarship, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards of $1500 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Madeline Marie Molzahn Sherrod Memorial Scholarship was established by Dale Sherrod and his children to honor the memory of Madeline Sherrod, a beloved wife and mother. Funded by the Sherrod family and an anonymous donor, the program offers two renewable scholarships: a $1,500 award for graduating seniors from the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado or the public school districts of Ainsworth, Hay Springs, or Wood River in Nebraska, and a $1,000 award for graduating seniors from SVVSD. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and plan to enroll at a four-year accredited college or university beginning in the upcoming fall semester. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses, with disbursements split between terms. Required application materials include a high school transcript with fall grades, resume, financial information, essay, and recommendation letters.
