Description

The Mississippi State University Freshman Non-Resident Academic Scholarship will be automatically awarded to a student upon their admission to MSU based on their 9th-11th grade high school GPA and test scores. Mississippi State accepts the SAT/ACT through the February test date of a student's senior year of high school. The scholarship is renewable annually for up to 8 semesters at MSU. Students must be assessed non-resident tuition in order to receive the Non-Resident Tuition Scholarship. Students may receive $48,000 for over four years or $12,000 per year if they have a GPA of 3.30-3.59. Students may receive $64,000 for over four years or $16,000 per year if they have a GPA of 3.60-4.09. Students may receive $72,000 for over four years or $18,000 per year if they have a GPA of 4.10 or higher. Students may receive $80,000 for over four years or $20,000 per year if they have an ACT score of 31 or higher, SAT score of 1390 or higher, and a GPA of 3.60-4.09. Students may receive $88,000 for over four years or $22,000 per year if they have an ACT score of 31 or higher, SAT score of 1390 or higher, and a GPA of 4.10 or higher. MSU has a rolling admissions policy. The application for each semester will remain open until the 10th day of classes.
