Description

First awarded in 2011, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship is presented annually to one Oklahoma high school senior. Applicants must be high school seniors who currently attend an Oklahoma public, private, charter or homeschool and have committed to attend an Oklahoma college or university. The scholarship is awarded based on the student's leadership roles, civic/community involvement, academic achievement, knowledge of Oklahoma Hall of Fame Members, and pride in the great state of Oklahoma. All related activities from the time the student started school (kindergarten) will be considered. Attention to detail on the application will also be considered. The scholarship will be in the amount of $6,000 dispersed over four years at $1,500 per year. The recipient will not be restricted in the selection of courses of study. The student's ACT/SAT scores are required. At least one and no more than two recommendation letters from an adult or mentor, not related to the student must also be submitted. They may be from a teacher, administrator, mentor, coach, or community leader. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
