Description

The Patricia and Gail Ishimoto Memorial Scholarship was established by Harry K. and Tomoko Ishimoto, in memory of their two daughters who passed away together in an auto accident in January 1969. Both were students at Dorsey High School in Los Angeles. This scholarship will be awarded to entering freshman students. Every applicant must be an active National JACL member. JACL membership is open to everyone of any ethnic background. Applicants must be planning to attend a college, university, trade school, business school, or any other institution of higher learning within the United States. Students deferring enrollment will not qualify for the scholarship program. Entering freshman applicants must be high school seniors. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, school administrator, employer, coach, or community leader.
