Eligibility

Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon Scholarship is open to students enrolled in a curriculum leading to a career in land surveying, including community college students who intend to transfer to an eligible four-year institution or complete a land surveying degree at the community college level. Applicants must intend to take the Fundamentals of Land Surveying (FLS) exam. Enrollment status must be indicated - either full-time or part-time. Please note that if awarded as a full-time student and enrollment later drops to part-time, the award amount will be reduced to half of the original approved amount. Applicants are also required to submit an essay briefly describing what led them to pursue a land surveying career and what the profession means to them. Additionally, they must provide the names, addresses, and phone numbers (not letters) of two references. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
