Eligibility
Rezvan Foundation for Excellence Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $100000 each.Description
The Rezvan Foundation provides ongoing mentorship and scholarship funding for full tuition over the course of four years for each awardee. It is the Foundation's hope that Rezvan scholars will then 'pay it forward' and keep the generous spirit of Dr. Ahmad Rezvan and his family alive for generations to come. Applicants must be a minor now or formerly in foster care; a minor who has been orphaned; or a minor who has been adopted after time spent in foster care. They must also be a U.S. resident. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited high school as a high school senior. They must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students with a lower GPA may be considered if the student can demonstrate significant academic growth. If the applicant has a cumulative GPA lower than 3.5, they must submit a written statement along with their application explaining the circumstances surrounding their lower GPA and how they managed to overcome those obstacles to succeed academically. Applicants must have no disciplinary record (academic or criminal).. Applicants must provide three references who will then provide letters of recommendation for the applicant. One reference should be an adult with deep knowledge of the applicant's academic abilities; another should be an adult who can speak to the applicant's volunteering, leadership or extra-curricular activities; and one should be an adult with knowledge of the applicant's family life or of the applicant's fiscal or family responsibilities. Applicants must also submit a short video statement as an attachment along with their completed application. The video statement should explain what being a Rezvan Foundation scholarship recipient would mean to the applicant, but may also include any other information the applicant believes would help The Rezvan Foundation evaluate their candidacy.
