Description

The Roxane Malo Leadership Scholarship Fund has been established as a tribute to Roxane's personal commitment to REALTOR leadership. Each year the Fund will award one or more scholarships to selected individual(s) for the continuation and expansion of their leadership skills in a real estate related field. The Roxane Malo Leadership Scholarship is awarded to select individuals wishing to further their education at a junior college, college, or university level. Scholarships are awarded with the stipulation that funds are used solely for study or training relating to leadership in a real estate related field. Scholarship grants may also be awarded for leadership training in a real estate related field provided by the Illinois REALTORS, the National Association of REALTORS, its institutes, councils, or societies, a local Chamber of Commerce, the American Society of Association Executives, or similar organizations. Applicants must provide information regarding community involvement, including details of local, state and national participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political action, fraternal or religious groups. They must also submit a letter of recommendation from at least one real estate broker from the office with which the applicant is affiliated. Letters of recommendations from two officers, one which may be the local Association Executive Officer, from the local Association of which the applicant is a member are also required.
